We want to share with you how to go from Office to ‘Party Chic’!

It’s that time of year AGAIN, numerous social gatherings, end-of-year drinks with friends, work Christmas parties, holiday catch-ups, family gatherings, it can seem like an endless array of events.

While it is a wonderfully social time, for some the prospect of party after party is something that can trigger anxiety and even panic.

What do I wear, do I have time to go home first, how do I look like I haven’t just come straight from work?

The last thing we want to think about when getting dressed in the morning is what we’re going to wear to a party or dinner out. During most of the year, we can easily get away with going out in our sensible sketcher flats and work clothes, but holiday parties and family dinners present an entirely different challenge.

It’s a time when beautiful, elegant dresses and leg slimming, stunning heels are non-negotiable. So, how do you achieve these looks without rushing home to change three, maybe 5 times.

I wholeheartedly believe that with the right pieces you can create outfits that translate to the office and after-hours Xmas parties and get-togethers without any of the anxiety or feelings of self-consciousness.

We are going to give you 3 of our favourite, easy hacks that can easily take your daytime office look to an elevated ‘Party Chic’, enough to impress everyone at your Work Party Extravaganza!

All you are going to need is a no-fuss foundation… like a comfortable, versatile bra and some go with any style underwear. The simplest tweaks can be more transformative than an entire outfit overhaul. Plus, these tweaks can easily be done at the office, which means you’ll be much less likely to run from all the fun, namely all those epic photo booth (and mistletoe) ops to flaunt your outfit.

Layering is Key

  • When it comes to day-to-night dressing, building a wardrobe of staples that work for both casual and dressy environments is essential. For example, a simple black dress is a versatile piece that looks good on any woman, and they can be great to layer, opt for a style with clean lines and a modern silhouette, like a scooped neckline and a pencil shaped hem. Add a fitted shirt or a button-up blouse underneath for a polished look, or throw on a stylish jacket for an edgier, bold look.

Add a Statement Necklace.

Whether you go for something big and colourful, or something delicate and sparkly, a great statement piece can upgrade a simple black dress in seconds. It’s the perfect party accessory and an excellent conversation starter. Don’t be afraid to try new things. If you have not done it yet, buy statement jewellery items that can be used to elevate your festive season look. Incorporate these into your daily attire and create your own signature style.

Top Things Off with Killer Heels.

Shoes can make your whole look, they add another element of texture or colour and can even affect your stance and walk (depending on the heel), which really adds to the overall look of your outfit. A sleek metallic shoe can add sparkle and style without being too over-the-top. For a figure-flattering look, pick a style with a pointy toe, which will make your legs look long and lean. Heels create a longer leg line, accentuate calf muscles, add a dressy aspect to your ensemble, and amplify your femininity.

Finally, just have fun, try not to stress over the little things chances are no-one will ever notice that you cleverly tweaked your daytime look for your work office party. Enjoy and Merry Christmas.
