Ageing is a choice

PhotoAbrasion

  • How long will it take and how will I look after Photoabrasion?

Each treatment takes up to one hour to perform. There is a very mild discomfort during the treatment and the skin may look a little flushed at the end of the treatment. The skin sometimes can feel slightly sunburnt for a few hours and then the sensation will disappear. Any brown pigment spots may darken and blood vessels may appear bruised. These brown pigment spots and blood vessels will then gradually lighten over the next week.
  • How Do I Prepare for Treatment?

Before treatment we will perform a Digital Skin Analysis so that we are able to track your results. This will also allow us to prescribe the appropriate skin care regime to ensure that your skin is in the best condition possible pre-treatment. This regime will also need to be followed post treatment as directed by your Specialised Face Designer to maintain ongoing results.
  • How Long Does Photoabrasion Treatment Take?

Photoabrasion treatment for the face takes approximately one hour and a half.
  • How many treatments do I need?

Depending on the degree of sun damage, redness and skin damage, you may require three to six treatments. Each treatment will take an hour to perform, commencing with a gentle microdermabrasion to soften and smooth the skin. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment is then performed to target pigment, redness, pores and skin damage, the combination being more effective to achieve amazing results.
  • How will my skin benefit from Photoabrasion?

Your skin will have a more even texture and colour, feel smooth to touch and generally look healthier with more youthful glow. General redness is improved along with pigmentation, blood vessels and uneven areas caused by irritation and breakouts.
  • What is Photoabrasion?

    Photoabrasion is a combination therapy which uses IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) with Microdermabrasion on the same day to treat a number of skin concerns, such as;
    • Hyper-Pigmentation
    • Fine Lines & Wrinkles
    • Enlarged & clogged pores
    • Acne & Acne Scarring
    • Rough Skin Texture

This treatment can be used to treat the face, neck, décolletage, arms, backs of hands, and virtually anywhere you are concerned with the above skin conditions.
  • What to Expect Post Treatment?

You can expect your skin to be slightly red and a little sensitive for a few days after treatment. The redness can be easily concealed with make-up, for sensitivity we recommend using gentle products and sunscreen daily to help protect your skin. Most people return to work the day after treatment.
  • What will PhotoAbrasion feel like?

This is a gentle ‘walk in walk out’ treatment and you will be pleasantly surprised at the immediate improvement to your skin. The initial Microdermabration treatment is enjoyable, comfortable and excellent for those who have thickened skin or mild break outs or acne. Intense Pulsed Light, is safe, and feels like a rubber band flicking at your skin. This sensation is completely forgotten at the end of the treatment and is replaced by a warm healthy glow.
  • Photoabrasion : When Will I See Results?

You will see results after only one treatment, the skin will be softer, smoother to touch, and the tone can become more even. We usually recommend a course of 3 to 6 treatments before you can see the final result, although with each treatment the skin will continue to become brighter, smoother and more even.
  • Why would I have Photoabrasion Treatment?

PhotoAbrasion offers you a method of treating your damaged skin without the down time associated with deep skin peels or laser resurfacing. PhotoAbrasion is a well known technique which combines gentle mirodermabrasion treatment and Intense Pulsed Light. When used together you experience an amazing improvement to skin texture, pores, pigmentation, redness and sun damage.  This treatment also is effective in treating sun damaged collagen and elastin in the deeper layers of the skin called the dermis.
